The Drum

Brother Wayne Curtis a fellow Navy VET and Mobile Area Africatown Drummer explains the power of the Drum! The. Chief (King) was always introduced with the Drum as African customs and history explains. Wayne is the Drummer you have seen at every major Africatown event. He stars with me in Feb (3rd,4th,and 5th) this year in the Ocean In My Bones play Directed by Terrance Spivey and inspired by the Africatown Ancestors. I'll share intimate personal accounts of our journey only in this blog post and a new book I have written called Eatonvile. (It will be available soon) As much of our preparations are closed to the public I will give an account of my families experience over the last 2 years.
